It's almost unanimous in what I heard in the media and what I've been reading in the comments here. Colin should have been protected and what is the logic behind exposing him and most probably losing him. I read Ty's article about right side D and Kevan being able to flip sides easier but to me that is pretty flimsy. I watched Colin grow and thought when he cleans up his game (like Kevan did), he is going to be really something. Nobody on the Bruins D can rush like him! (And few in the League.)
I almost would keep him over Krug because I think his ceiling might be higher.
My thought is Vegas would be crazy not to take him!!
Assuming that Bruins management are not completely out to lunch, and know a lot more about hockey then I ever will, there must be a piece of the puzzle that we are not seeing.
In any case, I am going to hate, hate, hate seeing Chiller not a Boston Bruin!! |

My reaction when they leave Chiller exposed AND he gets taken
Chiller, we hardly knew ye. |

Talk that D Colin Miller gets flipped to TML from BOS via VGN would be deals for 3 picks from 5th rd. of 2012 draft inc. Griffith, Carrick. |

If Vegas is just gonna flip him for three mediocre players I think we can agree his value around the league is pretty low. If he was the player some people think he is there's no way Vegas flips him for anything less than a 1st.
Kids got all the tools except for where it counts, in the dome. He might be special in a few years but that's the thing, it's gonna take him a few years of consistent play time. B's didn't have the luxury of allowing him that with McAvoy and Carlo on the right side. |

It sucks we lost Colin but he was surpassed by both Carlo and McAvoy instantly which leads me to believe Zboril will pass him pretty quickly as well.
The offseason just started... |

Carrick is a bottom 4 guy who's quite serviceable. Would bring Vegas stability in the 4-5-6 spots, and for cheap at that.
If Miller is indeed coming to TO, I'd expect him in the same type of role, 4-5-6, to start off with, and let him grow I suppose.
Cant say I've watched him play, but if that's the deal, it means he's got a higher ceiling than Carrick, and that's great.
Would it be shocking if Toronto traded for Methot as well? LOL |

Kind of a bitter taste to lose another young guy with potential to expansion, only for that expansion team to flip him to a rival for the equivalent of a coupon book. |

*Taste of Sweeney*
Always bitter, never fulfilling. Sounds about right. |

I'm not sure calling it "taste of sweeney" is appropriate, seems like more like a chiarelli stench. If anything sweeney has done a good job building up the young core. |

Meh. Overall body of work thus far, looking at everything, leaves much to be desired. Asset management still a weakness. |

I still don't get exposing C Miller. Yes he was passed on by Carlo and McAvoy. You could have also just exposed Kevan Miller and moved Colin Miller for a return instead of absolutely nothing. For me that's the only part that hurts here.
EDIT: Consider some of the other teams like Florida for example. They lost Marchessault or the Ducks for that matter. Bruins did OK. Still think Vancouver won this thing. Clean break from Sbisa. |

Sweeney's asset management is very irritating. |

I love that a Canadiens super(douche)fan and a Canadiens legend had to present that to Bruin. Suck it! - glove_was_stuck
What was up with the overly emphatic french pronunciation of his name last night? Pierre McGuire sounded like he was choking when he said his name. |

I'm so over this Colin/Kevan situation... Bruins made the wrong choice. I hope Colin (frank)ing lights it up in Toronto and I wouldn't be surprised one bit if Kevan misses 50 games this season with another stupid shoulder injury when he puts himself into the boards 10 games into the season. |
